Pink

I was trying out my very pink camera the other day.

Coco was my only willing subject – and that’s only because I had a treat in my hand!

She does this head tilting thing when you talk to her – as though she’s trying to understand what you’re saying.

Anyway, she just hit the big 1-0 (huge achievement for dogs) and now I’m more paranoid than ever about her dying on me.

Very tragic to have things die on you :( Especially cute things!

In other random nonsense, I’d just discovered a zit on my chin.

And I’m inconsolable.

Hot Dog

“Now, eat that hot dog as slowly as possible. Men like to watch women put phallic-shaped things into their mouths.”
- The Ugly Truth

I went for a late night screening of this with Angeline over the weekends.

I love late night shows! :)

It was reasonably funny, easy on the mind.

Which, coincidentally, is just what I need.

I’d been neglecting blogging because I’m tweeting so much.

Me = bad blogger = Twitter addict.

In a peanutshell, I’d been going out a lot and surprising, having a lot of fun.

I feel like its been a long, long, long time since I’d had any real fun.

And 25 is the perfect age to start over! If you’ll believe all that chick lit and romantic comedies.

I got a new camera after 4 years at the COMEX Fair today. I should be given a medal just for braving that insane crowd.

[On staying alive] (via Twitter)

Me: I’m going to brave the COMEX crowd… wish me luck!

DK: *salute* You must come out alive :P

Courage among Singaporeans is underestimated. We’ll all risk our lives for some good IT deals.

Kudos, my fellow Singaporeans! :D

Everyone who has been keeping me company these past weeks, you don’t know how incredibly grateful I am.

And I won’t tell you. So if you don’t read this, too bad! :P

Circa 1907 – 1915

bridge

This photo was taken in 1910, almost 100 years ago! It spooks me to find century old photographs that look like they were taken yesterday.

They were taken by royal photographer, Sergei Mikhailovich Prokudin-Gorskii, from 1907 – 1915 in Tzarist Russia.

I didn’t even know colour photography is possible at that point in time. And these are incredibly vivid! On the other hand, I think they cleaned it up a little with digital technology.

(On Downfalls) [via MSN]

S: Shall I tell you another secret?!

Me: Yes! Is it a story about your downfall?!

S: Wa lao, no la.

It disturbs me a little, to find out how gleeful I can be about another’s potential downfall.

But you know, misery loves company! :D

Cross

The day that has just passed has not been a bad one.

I give myself a little pat on the back and cross my fingers on both hands.

Because there is nothing quite like some encouragement from yourself.

And a lot of caution against pre-mature jubilation.

That gets me everytime.

Late

So often now, during the weekends, I’ll stumble out of bed an hour or two after noon. I’d missed half the day and not even aware of it.

This is especially frustrating when I had the intention to wake up at nine, just to watch morning television.

Because morning television is a little magical.

Anyway, I should be reading more.

There’s a million and one things to do, but I’m not doing them.

I am shoving the rising panic to one side because I really don’t need that now.

Miss

Hello, I miss you.

Lesson #1: Do not give in to self pity. Because it’ll eat you up alive in a jiffy.

Vienna

This post of Liting just reminded me of how much I enjoyed Vienna.

But such a different Vienna :)

That’s the good thing about having seasons, right?

Note: Right now, I can’t imagine ever basking in the sun. Have they never heard of wrinkles?! But, there is something very joyous about sunshine after months of cold.

We

The worst thing about very long relationships is the word “we”.

Because coming out of one, you forget about the the word “I”.

Then you feel kind of lost. In a bad way.

Kiddo

Sometimes, I insist on being a child.

By principle.
